Outer Banks, North Carolina

Greetings from the Outer Banks, North Carolina. We took the week off with four other families and rented a beach house in Duck, NC - see the red pointer below:

The Outer Banks is a 200-mile long string of barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina starting just south of Virginia Beach stretching halfway down the North Carolina coast.

It's been a great couple of days here, and then Earl had to come...So we'll go to bed tonight and find out tomorrow if we have to evacuate or not based on Earl's track this evening.

The only plans we had for Thursday evening was to watch the #24 Utah vs #15 Pittsburgh football game -- as long as the hurricane doesn't knock out the power or the cable, we'll be able to watch the game.

And as long as we have power tomorrow evening, we'll be able to catch up on some blogging from the summer.

We'll see if Earl let's us do that! 'Til tomorrow...
