Catching up: Morgan's summer trip

Tim had a four-week work trip to Beijing, so Morgan and the girls packed up the car and headed west. First stop was to Cincinnati to pick her sister Chelsie and her boys up to join the road trip fun.

The next stop was in Kansas to visit Morgan's paternal grandparents. Sister Shayla came up from Oklahoma with her two kids to add to the fun.

It was Tally's birthday, so they celebrated...

Then it was off to Wyoming to visit more of Morgan's family... Little Grandma!

Morgan and Chelsie drove their grandparents out to Wyoming as well...

Then a signifcant milestone in Tally and Adayla's lives: earrings! Tally was so excited with anticipation...

Here's the aftershot: Adayla is just thrilled, Tally has the look of "holy crap this hurts, but I guess this is what I wanted!"

By dinner time, however, the pain subsided and it was pure pleasure...

The birthday that didn't end, here Tally celebrates her birthday AGAIN with little grandma... doesn't Adayla look so old now with her glasses?

Time passed too quickly, it was time to pack it up to see Tim's parents and Morgan's other grandma. The big project for everyone at Grandma's was to lay sod and install a sprinkler system. Before:

Morgan's brother Corde felt constrained while at Grandma's, so he went out and bought a scooter. Problem was, he didn't check the gas level after he bought it. Here is the walk of shame pushing the scooter up the hill!

Tally's birthday again, one candle for every month she's lived!

Just kidding, that was Grandma's birthday cake!!

Grandma got some help from Morgan's cousin Josh who was co-celebrating hs birthday.

After patiently watching TWO Tally birthday cakes and TWO Grandma birthday cakes, it was time to celebrate Madden's birthday with a special John Deer birthday cake... you can tell whose boy Madden is by the cake!

Cousin Bridger was more than happy to help eat! That mouthful is almost as big as Aunt Cheryl's!!

You can tell whose kid Adayla is... see how she's smothering Tally? That's what Morgan does, too!

Morgan's dad taking our three girls out for a ride. So if you only had two helmets to protect your girls, would you make two trips OR decide which girl you wanted to protect least and give the other two helmets?

And that was the trip: Four weeks; 5,000 miles; 7 stops; lifetime of memories. Tim should go out-of-town more often, this was fun!
