Adayla's Barbie lunchbox was packed with the following on her first day of school:
- PB&H (on wheat...the H is for honey)
- Carrots
- Grapes
- Small bag of chips
- 2 starbursts (I am a believer in DESSERTS, though she did ask this week why she gets one oreo and her friends get three!)
-Thermos of H2O(To understand this post....scroll down to the comments of Adayla's first day of school post).
My family (parents and bros and sisters) are a bunch of crazies. I am not sure how I got to be so normal when I see all of them : ) They tease me relentlessly no matter what I do... and I love it, and them too!
Now this is what I thought was really funny about the comments from my family. See what I bought for future lunches:
I bought this (actually these are from the commissary's case lot sale, but thankfully you don't have to buy these items by the case!) the second day of Adayla's school before the harassing comments even started. The line at the commissary was long, and these things kept looking at me while I was waiting...I seriously ate so many gold fish in high school that I think that since then, I can nearly count the number of fishes I have eaten on one hand. But they looked like the perfect thing to add to Adayla's lunch along with the oatmeal pies and nutty bars all things my Mom used to put in our lunches! Thanks mom for many good lunches!
It took me back to the day when I was in school and would wake up and see 5 or 6 lunches waiting on the counter laid out in order. Mom would take everyone's preference into consideration and fix it how you liked it. She spoiled us for sure, but I haven't started doing this with my own kids as you saw one of my favorite brother in laws quoted me...."if they eat enough they will like it!" But thankfully that isn't a problem for Adayla as for the most part she eats what ever is in front of her.
Anybody want me to pack their lunch for them this week?!!!

Morgs, we do love you! It's kind of funny how close some of us were with our guesses. Our mom is amazing and I remember how great our lunches were growing up. Thanks for thinking we are funny, sometimes.
Oh my, what a nostalgic post from all. I teared up a bit while jewls read it to me. Thosse were such simple times and such close moments. I remember when you would beg me not to cook bacon and pancakes for breakfast cuz it made your clothes smell on the bus. WE are all products of our past. Take the good ones and let the others go.
