It's a... boy!

Well, with two girls in a row, chances were that this would be a boy. But Morgan’s siblings have had three boys in a row, so that meant that we were having a girl. Regardless of the chances, here it is, I mean, here he is:

Teagan Sage

Teagan Sage was born today, April 1st, at 10:57 am local time. He is 20 inches and 8.1 pounds. He has black hair and darker complexion, just like his sisters had when they were born. His name actually comes from one of Morgan’s sisters, Shayla, who suggested the name back when we were having Adayla. We liked the name so much that we kept it, and were glad that she didn’t use the name when her son was born in February. Thanks Shay!!

So here’s the story: we’re both sleeping in bed this morning (ok, I was sleeping, Morgan was wondering if she was having contractions or not), when Morgan woke me up and said, “Tim, I think I’m going to have this baby!” and I said, “Nice try, but you can’t get me, I know it’s April Fool’s Day.” She said “No seriously, we need to go to the hospital.”

We called Ayi and asked her to come early to watch the kids, in the meantime we put some stuff together for an overnight bag (I grabbed the laptop since there’s free wireless internet at the hospital… bonus!), and as soon as Ayi arrived we left.

They admitted Morgan at 7:00 am, the broke her water around 9:15 am and about two hours later there was Teagan!

We’re still at the hospital, but I will go home and pick up the girls after Tally’s nap and bring them here to meet their new baby brother (“didi” in Chinese).
