Tally does her own new things every day. Lately she will pat the chair/seat/couch next to her whenever she would like you to join her. It is so cute and then when you sit by her, her little face lights up! She is a little snuggler, not all the time, but she will lay her head right on your shoulder for a few minutes if the time is right. She also loves to give kisses!
The Chinese have this way of asking Is this okay or How's that? They will say hao bu hao, literally good not good? We ask this to Adayla and she started responding properly...hao if it is okay or bu hao if you don't like/want. Tally quickly picked up on this and anytime she hears hao bu hao, she automatically will respond in the proper third tone Hao! I love watching the expressions on her face.
Today, Tim said something rude/teasing to Josie and I said, "Tim we don't say rude things in our house!" Adayla chimed in, we only say rude things at our house in Virginia.
Adayla has been telling us all week, next time Mom and Dad go to Japan, Tally is going to stay here with Josie and I am going with them! Josie - what do you think of that??!!
I don't know if I have mentioned our new helper lady much lately. This is a good thing, it means I like her! She is actually wonderful and I call her the tornado. She comes in the morning and everything just flies into its place. She is great with the girls and they are very comfortable with them. When she left the other day, she bent down to give Adayla a hug, and Adayla kissed her on her cheek. I can't remember if I mentioned that she actually likes Western food. Many Chinese will turn up their noses at the mention of western food (I can't blame them, I do it to many of their dishes), but especially if it is remotely sweet. But not Xiao Ci, she LOVES it! Josie and I are going to see if we can fatten her up a bit! She loves cookies and all the goodies. One day I had made couple loaves of zuchinni bread. There was a half of a loaf left and I told her she is more than welcome to eat any of it. Later that evening we were looking for it and it was gone! She ate it all. She is going to love Christmas time!
