Two videos from the trip to Tashkurgan to accompany the pictures in the previous post.
This first video is of us traveling along the Karakoram Highway through the mountains from Kashgar to Tashkurgan with our driver jamming to some Uygher tunes! This song playing in the video became our theme song for the trip.
If you can imagine traveling in the car with this driver for five hours each way listening not only to the music, but also to our driver singing.
You really need to watch this video... watch it once and then play it again to listen to the music while looking at the pictures below from Tashkurgan.
This second video is of our driver and "Sonny Bono" (explained below) dancing. This is where "Sonny" suddenly stood up and said, "We dance!" as he started some music on his cell phone that they (and ultimately we) danced to.
