One last night in Vietnam

After Ha Long Bay, we still had one night in Hanoi before going back to China.

One of the fun things about the trip through Cambodia and Vietnam was seeing scooters EVERYWHERE. We laughed when scooter rental folks asked us if we wanted to rent a scooter... "What, put all the kids on with us?" we asked, only to get a reply from them saying no problem.

During those two weeks, we saw lots of groups and families on scooters...So after getting used to life surrounded by scooters, the idea of taking the family around on a scooter didn't seem that strange any more. After all, everybody is doing it, right?
and the chances of this are so low... we only saw one accident during our vacation
When the scooter rental guy asked us if we wanted to rent a scooter...
on what was our last evening there...
in such a fun area to ride a scooter...
We said "Yes!"
I don't know what we were thinking. I guess that's how people end up with tatoos and such from vacations... everybody is doing it, and you thought it was cool at the time, so you did it. Fortunately we didn't get any "permanent skin markings" from this little adventure.

So did you actually go anywhere or did you ask to sit on one to take a photo and call it good? That's probably what you did. You spied someone parking their scooter, and as soon as they were out of site, you all snuck over and sat on one for a photo. VERY funny photo. I like how there's hardly room for Morgan on the end.
