Women's World Cup Opening Game / Ceremony

Tim and Josie went to the Women's World Cup opening ceremony and 1st game. Here is the report with pictures.

Josie finally figured out that they were going to some of the games, she was quite excited. We went to the opening game this evening - defending World Cup champs Germany vs Argentina. What a blowout: 11-0! It was actually enjoyable to watch because the goals were pretty. Germany just destroyed them. It was a fun atmosphere with 28,098 people there, and lots of Germans! The German fans were having a ton of fun, and rightfully so.I've attached some pictures from this evening: a picture of Josie on the metro to the game (look how squished she is with all the people) a pic of Josie outside of the stadium and one of me in my Universitaet Goettingen shirt - it was the only thing German that I have here! The one of me is at the end of the game - you can see how many people had left the game already because of the blowout...At any rate, it was a fun evening, we look forward to Sept 18th to see the American women in action!
