A Walk to the Market

Once we "moved" into our house, but were still waiting for our stuff to be delivered we had nothing to do on Saturday. Really. We don't know many people in the area so there are no birthday parties and get-togethers, the house is pretty much clean (and empty) so don't need to spend the day cleaning, no kid activities...basically we could hang how we wanted. We had heard of the great market in the center of Cambridge, but we were pleasantly surprised with all there is to do and EAT there at the market.

So away we went on our walk to the market...
It is a beautiful walk in the park and then across a few streets....just stay out of the way of the bikes! This is kind of difficult as we still haven't figured out which side you walk on....we know to drive on the left, but should we walk on the left? We're so confused!

Crossing a "bridge" over the River "Cam." Get it? Yup, that's where "Cambridge" gets its name from (but not from this particular bridge crossing). This was just a pretty view on our walk... there are lots of crew teams rowing on the river throughout the day. This crew was just about ready to get out.
Tally was excited to show us that she can make an "X". Can you imagine how excited she will be when she learns to make a "Y" and an "M" and a "C" and an "A" ??
Downtown Cambridge...
And finally to the market! This is a daily market here, but it does get bigger on Saturdays.
Belgian Waffles...
... enough said!
I want one of these fresh-squeezed orange juice machines! It's almost like a pitching machine at a batting cage...
The greatest little outdoor cafe with some amazing pizza and calzones!Good food, good fun!
