Who elected Representative Hank Johnson??

The House Armed Services Committee held a hearing last week discussing the military's posture in the Pacific region. The Commander of the United States Pacific Command, Admiral Willard (4-star admiral) flew in from Hawaii to testify before Congress.

I have met Admiral Willard, he is the epitome of an officer and a gentleman... and he truly is a genius. The discussion during this part of the hearing was on the proposal to build up the military presence on Guam. Representative Hank Johnson has some concerns about that build up, you have to watch this two-and-a-half minute video...

Did you rewind the video, yet? Did he really ask if Guam was going to "tip over and capsize?!" How did Admiral Willard not burst out laughing at the question? His response... a straight "We don't anticipate that."

Then Rep Johnson continued with the following statement:

"...and also, uh, things like the environment... and I know that, you know that, lots of people don't like to think about that, but, you know, we didn't think about global warming either and um... now we do have to think about it and so, uh, I'm concerned from an environmental standpoint whether or not Guam is the, the, the best place to do this relocation..."

Is this Representative really "representative" of his Georgia district? Does this Representative really have the capacity to vote on issues such as economic stimulus packages, health care reform, and military posturing? He thinks Guam is going to "tip over and capsize!"
