Winter Wonderland... WOW!

It's been five months since we moved from China, and five months since we've last posted on the blog. Nothing like a blizzard to give you time to blog again... so here we go, our Winter Wonderland! The forecast is for 16-20 inches in a 24-hour period. It started snowing yesterday evening around 9 pm. By 11 pm this is what it looked like.
When we woke up this morning, it was snowing even harder. This was our first sight... one of our trees had fallen over. If this only could have happened a couple of weeks ago we could have used this for our Christmas tree!
One of our favorite paintings in The Prayer at Valley Forge, with General Washington praying in the snowy trees next to his horse. George is right at home with this snow today...
The girls were so excited to go out and play
It was an adventure just on our deck...
Ryann had fun as well, but she came in early...
The bigger three kids stayed out and went sledding for an hour and a half...

The swings in the backyard weren't an option today...

Going out the front door...
We're not going anywhere today... and that's just fine!

If our garage still didn't have so many boxes, we wouldn't be able to provide a picture of snow on our car.

We measured the snow this evening in several spots around the yard... all measured between 20-24 inches. Oh what fun!
